just remember "sleep when the baby sleeps"

......right. and if I do sleep when the baby sleeps, assuming that when she is awake she wants to be eating, or paid attention to, when do I do anything else...like unpack my new house?

We're in...and loving it. Look forward to what life, in a house that we could possibly live in for a LONG time, is like.

I feel ya! Although sleep is precious, nap time (alone time) is priceless!!! That's my time to recharge and get personal things done! My advice, and it may not work for you, is to just go to bed earlier.

I love the new blog setup, very (this may sound weired) but clean looking... clean, organized, and classy. I will, however miss the cutest yellow and pink blog ever!

By the way is "Natlie's House" a play off something or just a cute title. You know me I don't get pop illusions for the life of me.

I'm so excited you're in your new house. I know what you mean about seeing what it's like to live somewhere for a LONG time. You really dig your roots in! I actually have never itched for a house (town house) like I have been lately. I'm really getting ready, and as I'm looking for reasons, more reasons start to appear (I guess that's why the advice to be happy with what you have is so true , b/c if you think about reasons why you want something you don't you'll find ample!!)

Sorry this was really, really long, more of an appropriate message for an email but hey I had the comment window open so why not?

Love ya,
Julie

Yeah, we finally got Berkeley on a schedule, because I was dying - I have a really hard time sleeping during the day. They say newborns need up to 18 hours of sleep per day (depending on their age), so we would let her sleep for 2 hours and then do everything we could to keep her up for 2 hours, for the entire day. Now she sleeps at night, waking up once usually between 3:30 and 5:30am. I feed her and put her back to bed (usually takes about an hour), and then she'll sleep till 8am. This way I can sleep at night. When she takes her little naps during the day, it gives me the time I need to do other things. Finding a pacifier she likes and putting her in her bouncy seat are things that help to soothe her when she's awake - so that helps too. It's tough. I totally feel for you.

I'm sure it's different for every baby, so hopefully you're able to find something that works for you! Good luck!!! :)

P.S. Congratulations on the new home! That's so exciting.
