musical monday...new orleans style

Last weekend, we took the family down to Mississippi, to visit Ben and Becky (click this link...they want advice), and to New Orleans for a wedding.  While we walked around we saw amazing art, and some very entertaining musicians.  I didn't think to take video of the first group (they were my favorite) but here's a picture.

As a fellow flutist, and recent fan of beat boxing, (two posts in one week...that makes me a fan right?) this was another clip that I had to share.  There are crazy talented and creative people in this world.

My brother, Chris, who I do not link to nearly enough, wrote a wonderful post.  It is based on the loss of a very good family friend.  This loss has really shocked me and many others in my family.  Death is not something that I have dealt with very much in my life, and because of that, this message has meant much to me.  (follow any of the above links)

I hope you can enjoy it also.  

Our family loves the Romney's and the Tull's.  We will never forget Shawnie, and she will be missed.  Our prayers are with you.

We're very very close to the start of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.  This makes me so very very excited.  The latest blog to provide you with all the sytycd news can be found here.  Along with that little gift, I'm going to repost a video I watched today.  If you're a faithful you'll remember the dancer/choreographer.  

Every once in a while there will be a dance that I feel really captures the dancing I see in my head, when I hear certain songs.  I by no means am capable of this kind of art....but I can hope.  I find this absolutely beautiful.

Does anyone else think that blogger SUCKS for posting pictures?  I have to upload them backwards in order for them the end up in the right order.  I cannot get them to move around.  Drives me nuts!

Dear Dad,

How is work today?  Are you having a good time?  I would really like it if you came home.  Mom thought I was so cute when she yanked on my head once, that she figured I'd be even cuter if she yanked on my head twice.  

Here is the result...I know I'm cute, but I'm pleading for my scalp.  Hope to see you soon.
