I tried to figure out why I used to blog so much more than I do now.....its facebook. When I have a cute picture to share, I put it there....instead of here. Oops.

THREE YEARS OLD!

Natalie is 3! She doesn't look like me, but decided that inheriting my attitude and snottiness would be the way to go. Fun for me! This video shows that's she's got a little daring streak in her too. She's been climbing up this thing since she could walk.
We love this little girl. She keeps us guessing and laughing (and crying) all the time.


My favorite part is when she says "I'm helping down, I'm helping down!"

I'll be spending this dreary wednesday jamming words back down my throat. After 3 days of no binkie for Samantha, I just had to give it back. True to form, she cannot do anything the same (or as easily) as her sister. I guess, for now, the binkie is back for naps and bedtime. I have a few friends that will take such joy in this because of the hard time I gave them about their hesitation to take the plunge.....well add me to the list. Sometimes listening to screaming all day, and enduring too short naps, just isn't worth it.

brain dump

I was glaringly reminded today that I have yet to find "my thing". This seems to be a running theme with this blog....I must bring it up once every few months. Perhaps my thing is having daughters that only look like my husband. I do that pretty well, and doing it twice might qualify right?

I was introduced to the greatness that is this blog today. Thank you Janssen for FORCING me to waste precious nap time reading :) . "That wife" uses a beautiful term called "brain dump". I like that term, and almost daily feel like I have got to stop having the same 3 thoughts running through my head over and over and over again. I suppose that's what this is, since this post was started when I walked in the door tonight, handed Benjamin the baby immediately, and said "take her, I have a couple blog thoughts I have to get out before I forget them". And here I am....rambling.

Oh yeah....I do these....they're cute. I would GLADLY do one (or any kind of cross-stitch, as that IS as crafty as I get) for anyone that would like something. All you have to do is give me the pattern...and maybe ask nicely.

I'm 2!

We celebrated Natalie's 2nd birthday this last saturday. I can't believe she's 2. She is loud, cute, and very sweet to her baby sister. We love her and she is definitely our favorite first daughter.

22 months-ish

I cannot bear/bare to post more pictures of our house, cars, yard, sidewalk, all buried deep in snow....but I took this cute picture after Natalie's bath yesterday and though I'd share.

Poor little thing has no idea what's about to hit her with a new baby.

1st haircut

Natty has been sporting a pretty sweet mullet for some time now. Every time I do her hair, I brush the back and think "this would be so easy to just cut straight across and be done with it". But having no haircutting experience (aside from shaving Benjamin's head) I have never had the guts to do it....until this past Wednesday. Impulsively while Natalie was taking a bath I got out my haircutting scissors (why I have these, I don't know) and cut off the back of her hair. It was a little stressful since she was busy being a 20 month old that doesn't sit still, but I think I did an OK job. The right side is a smidge longer than the left, and unfortunately that is highlighted by the fact that the left side curls under and the right side flips out...but all in all, it looks alright, and when I have the assistance of Benjamin, I'll do a little further trimming.

Might I add that I now find her about 15x cuter than I did before that bath. Initially I was a little sad at the change in my growing little girl, but now I just can't help but smile and giggle when she smiles and giggles at me.

Since I'm still eating the candy from our little trick or treating extravaganza, I don't feel like I'm that behind.

oh yeah....and we bought our house yesterday. the one we have already been living in for 18 months. go us!

Just try to get an email, from your mother in law, with 17 of the funniest, and most adorable pictures of your only child, and not post a bunch of them. (longest sentence ever) Try it, I dare you.

Natalie sat on the couch tonight, right before bed, and was picking at her feet. How much more like me can she get?
