ONE YEAR OLD

Oh my!!!!! Samantha is a whole year old (a couple of weeks ago...I'm awesome). She came out huge, and alert and hasn't stopped being either of those things for one minute. Sammy keeps us...active. Still hoping she'll stop crying the majority of the day....but she's cute.

right after this she fell, "hurting" her leg, and exclaimed "I'll NEVER sing again!!!!!"

I gave Sammy her binkie back and she took a 4 hour nap. best decision ever!

booooooooo!

I'll be spending this dreary wednesday jamming words back down my throat. After 3 days of no binkie for Samantha, I just had to give it back. True to form, she cannot do anything the same (or as easily) as her sister. I guess, for now, the binkie is back for naps and bedtime. I have a few friends that will take such joy in this because of the hard time I gave them about their hesitation to take the plunge.....well add me to the list. Sometimes listening to screaming all day, and enduring too short naps, just isn't worth it.

How bout this for a happy kid though....

i'm a mom and....

this child is a give me eye contact, attention, and love all day long kind of baby. i am not a give eye contact, attention, and love all day kind of mom. this creates lots of crying and whining ALL DAY LONG!

and she just threw the old ipod on my key board.......the fffffffffffffff key isn't working so hot anymore.

Thankful for....

being able to do hard things....like make my own pie crust!

(and you might be able to guess that I am NOT thankful for my countertops....gross!)
